Alhamdulillah! I feel as though this message is mean't for me. Everyword you said resonates with my current reality and how continuing on the path of Surah Baqarah and Istighfar is critical for a complete transformational change. May Allah bless and keep you @Sumayah
What a "coincidence" - right before I read this post, I happened to finish going over the main points of surah al-Baqarah by Mawlana Amin Islahi and it is *so* good. Check that out if you haven't already - you will LOVE it.
This is so key to understand. Surah al-Baqarah will delete everything from your life which isn't meant to be there even if you think it belongs there and that's a hard pill to swallow.
JazakaAllah khayr for this reminder. I’ve started reading Al Baqarah daily alhamdulilah when I first read your post a few months ago. It’s been a great blessing for me in steadying my faith and heart. Alhamdulilah. May Allah reward you abundantly with khayr in this life and the next, ameen.
I love that the main message is in the first paragraph, that’s all I needed to hear. I keep slipping and feel like I don’t know what to do but being reminded it’s that formula always gives me renewed hope. Jazakhallah for your beautiful writing and for being a vehicle in bringing change to people’s lives, and helping us back to Allah
This is 100% accurate and I felt like you wrote this for me. I had a question, its said that Surah Baqarah opens the doors for rizq. But my rizq is tied up and ive been reading since June. Alhamdullilah! Despite financial setbacks, I am extremely happy and at peace.
My perspective on this is Allah s.w.t knows best, he knows best when to give and when to withhold, he knows giving unbridled wealth to some will corrupt them and for them will bring them closer to him. So I look at it as Allah s.w.t knows money right now would corrupt me and push me away.
Am I right in thinking this? And I need to motivate myself to do istighfar.
Alhamdulillah you've been keeping up since June! Tabarak Allah, may Allah only increase you.
When there's something tied up/blocked while you're applying yourself with an act of worship, and the benefits aren't showing up for you: It's sins. You're right on the money! Istighfar is the key.
You will want to be constantly doing it, because the wording in the hadith says whoever “persists in asking Allah for forgiveness”. It's not a limited number to finish in the morning and leave until tomorrow. It's an ongoing practice, we pause it to pray, read Qur'an, etc. then we resume.
May Ar-Razzaq grant you abundance and Al-Fattah open the doors of Khair for you.
Allah's Word is true, so if we aren't seeing the results He promised us, the fault must lie with us. Aim for a high number like 15k - 30k. If you reach that with ease, increase it even more.

Jazakillahu khairan for this post. Is there any reason you choose Suratul Baqarah in particular?
